This past Sunday the Squirrel Monkey and I had the distinct privilege to observe while ACM blossomed under the limelight of her greatest theatrical debut.

Oh yes… Aunt Amy donned her sunniest garden finery and her floppiest straw hat and took up her post at center stage of this her greatest venture into theater… Garden Theater. That’s right, dear friends of the InterWeb, I’m talking about the Irvington Garden Tour.

Each flower fluffed, each leaf spit shined, ACM’s garden never looked better. And for his part, Calvin kept a CONSTANT mowing vigil so as nary one stray blade of grass or sidewalk weed should attempt to steal her spotlight.

And after four hours of edu-taining the garden masses, ACM and her little cottage garden were the clear winners. Now, THEY will say “it’s not a competition” and “there is no judging” but let’s face facts: We play to win. Winner. No losers in this house. And Calvin and I were so confident of this winning-ness of ACM’s garden that we didn’t even bother to visit the other 9 gardens on the “tour.”

With the garden tour behind us… time to start brainstorming for this year’s Halloween costume!

I did visit the other gardens on the tour and the Fraudulent Farmgirl was the winner hands down. I enjoyed visiting with you and that darling child of yours…….Caroline adored him as well.
    Happy Fourth of July!

Hey, Amy. Welcome to our blog. Thanks for the second on our vote for winner of the Irvington Garden Tour!

P.S. I think Calvin developed a little crush on Caroline that day. :-)
